Natalie Sutherland
Senior Associate, New York Office
As a Senior Associate and leader of the Real Estate Analysis and Delivery practice area at U3, Natalie identifies real estate needs and opportunities through the collection, synthesis, and analysis of market data. Her market assessments and financial modeling guide real estate strategy and project implementation. She enjoys working with clients in the early stages of planning and development to make valuable long-term impacts on their organizations as well as the communities, districts, and cities in which they are located.
Natalie’s work at U3A has included projects for medical institutions such as Montefiore Health System, nonprofits such as the Manhattan Initiative, and schools such as Lafayette College. For the University of Maryland’s Terrapin Development Company, she collaborates with development partners to plan and implement projects. Her knowledge of real estate entities, fostered at TDC, is integral to her work with other universities.
Natalie’s understanding of development and construction that informs her strategic planning work at U3A stems from her prior experience as an Engineer and Project Manager for Turner Construction Company where she was responsible for “building the job on paper” and facilitating project team communication. Her master planning experience accrued during her time at Heyer, Gruel & Associates, a consultancy specializing in municipal planning and development.
Natalie holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from The George Washington University and a Masters in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University. Outside the office, Natalie shares her love of math as a volunteer tutor to middle school children.
