Albert Zhang

Senior Analyst , Boston Office

Drawing on methods from planning, real estate, and land use economics, Albert works to understand the built environment from every angle, helping to build places where people and communities thrive.

Albert joined U3 Advisors through our merger with the Massachusetts-based planning and real estate advisory firm Landwise, where he led the firm’s data, geospatial, and real estate modeling work. At the property level, he excels in leveraging data to help landowners and institutions find the highest and best uses for their land. At a regional level, he specializes in helping municipalities understand their housing challenges and explore policy solutions.

Prior to Landwise, Albert graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College, where he studied geography and economics. He was awarded Honors in Economics for a senior project which leveraged creative econometric methods to quantify how Seattle’s single-stair building code reform impacted housing construction. His academic work has honed his skills in data analysis, statistics, GIS, and machine learning.

Albert also brings a diverse array of internship experiences which contribute to a rich understanding of the built environment and the actors which shape it. He has previously worked on active transportation and transit planning projects with Kittelson, modeled historic real estate values with Urban3, helped develop a solar farm while interning with a private developer, and worked with Dartmouth’s campus planning office.

Outside of work, you might find Albert exploring an underrated corner of the world, wandering through Northern New England, or trying out a new recipe at home. He has visited over 30 countries and speaks four languages in addition to English.
