Jaime Flaherty
Managing Director & CFO, Philadelphia Office
Jaime is dedicated to developing tailored solutions for higher education and non-profit clients. An engaged convener, she has expertise in creating implementable approaches to complex built environment and capacity issues. As one of U3’s lead strategists, she has played a major role in transformative projects for clients including Tulane University where she has served as a development advisor for major projects in the downtown medical district for the past three years, Drexel University, where she managed the real estate & facilities department while leading strategic redevelopment projects, and with the University of Pretoria in South Africa, where she led an concentrated effort to develop an implementation plan for economic and physical vitality of the surrounding neighborhood. Jaime also advises on the Reimagining the Civic Commons project, a national initiative to foster engagement, equity, environmental sustainability and economic development in our cities. In her role as CFO, she works closely with staff to promote a healthy and engaging work culture.
This work is enhanced by Jaime’s background in urban planning and finance. She joined U3 from the real estate consulting firm Economics Research Associates, where she led financial and market demand analysis for complex urban development projects. An avid reader and traveler with a love of the outdoors, Jaime’s interests outside the office afford her the time to step back, recharge, and develop new approaches to problem solving.
Jaime has a BA in Psychology and Business from the University of Pittsburgh, and Masters of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also earned a certificate in Real Estate Development. She is the co-founder and vice-chair of the Urban Land Institute’s University Development and Innovation Council (UDIC), Treasurer of ULI Philadelphia, former co-chair of the ULI Philadelphia’s Women’s Leadership Initiative, and a Philadelphia Power Woman honoree.
