Hiba Beg

Senior Analyst , New York City Office

Hiba believes in creating systems that put people first – using data, empathy, and a deep commitment to social equity to drive inclusive change.

Growing up in diverse parts of the world, Hiba witnessed firsthand the impact of cultural differences and how they shape the lived experiences of marginalized communities, even in strong democracies. These observations inspired her career in journalism and public policy, where she has uncovered stories of segregation and systemic inequities across South Asia and the Middle East.

At U3 Advisors, Hiba applies her diverse expertise to ensure that community voices and needs remain deeply embedded in the planning and execution of large-scale placemaking and economic development projects. She uses her skills in research and data analytics to study long-term outcomes and efforts around topics like inclusive procurement, affordable housing and capacity building. She approaches her projects with a focus on understanding how policies and interventions can have unintended effects on historically marginalised communities. She’s a strong advocate for technology ethics and the safe deployment of public systems in physical spaces, and passionate about bridging gaps between the goals of institutions and the needs of the people they serve.

Hiba holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in English and Economics from the University of Delhi, and a Master’s in Public Administration from Columbia University with a minor in Data Analytics and Quantitative Analysis, focusing her research on the intersections of public interest technology, sustainable development, and data-driven policy solutions for public good. Previously, she has worked at organizations like the United Nations at the Financing for Sustainable Development Office and SAP at their Chief Trust Office in New York City.
