San Diego Sees Billions in Potential Benefits

We’ve been working closely with the City of San Diego for a few years on the revitalization of their downtown Civic Center, so when their City Council asked us to take a look at the potential economic impact of our work, we knew it could be substantial—but what we learned surprised us. Transforming the Civic Center could lead to a one-time $14 billion boost for the region’s economy, followed by an additional impact of nearly half a billion dollars every year. Working with our partners at the Prebys Foundation and the Downtown San Diego Partnership, realizing a new vision for the Civic Center, rooted in education, arts & culture, housing, and design, can support America’s finest city for years to come.
