East Harlem Arts & Education LDC

U3A was engaged by the East Harlem Arts & Education Local Development Corporation (“LDC”) in early 2013 to develop a plan to support the LDC’s long-term occupancy of the historic Heckscher Building on East 104th Street. Tenants in the building include Boys and Girls Harbor, el Museo del Barrio, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, Harlem Center for Education, and La Casa de la Herencia Cultural Puertoriquena.  U3A analyzed four models for sustainable occupancy, assisted LDC leadership in the selection of their preferred option, and worked with LDC tenants to develop a presentation to be used with stakeholders.
