New Partners in Progress for Paterson


The Paterson Impact Network was awarded an Opportunity Partnership Grant from the New Jersey Department of Labor which will allow them to launch Patient Care Technician+. This pilot initiative will serve 36 Paterson residents across three cohorts and with clinical exposure, career readiness, financial literacy, wraparound supports, and job placement assistance to address community workforce development, a key tenet on their list of strategic priorities. Passaic County Community CollegeSt. Joseph’s HealthHackensack Meridian Health, and other partners are each playing vital roles in this project.

The Collective is led by U3 Advisors and Montclair State University and supported by the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, was formed in 2025 to organize local anchor institutions and community organizations around a focused economic development strategy. Together, with the support of the Opportunity Partnership Grant award, they will be able to test a coordinated workforce model and create a more durable workforce development ecosystem that can benefit workers in Paterson today and in the future.
