Marygrove Conservancy Opens state-of-the-art Early Education Center

In September, the Marygrove Conservancy, Kresge Foundation, and partners celebrated another milestone towards realizing the cradle-to-career, P-20 educational campus vision in Northwest Detroit, with the grand opening of the $22 million, state-of-the-art Marygrove Early Education Center, operated by Starfish Family Services. The Center represents an unprecedented investment in high-quality early childhood education in Detroit, and follows the opening of The School at Marygrove’s high school grades starting in the fall of 2019.

U3 Advisors is proud to have supported strategic planning for the P-20 campus since 2016, working with the Kresge Foundation and its partners to transition the campus from the former Marygrove College to a comprehensive neighborhood-serving education center. Partners include the Detroit Public Schools Community District, the University of Michigan School of Education, Starfish Family Services, and the Marygrove Conservancy.
